Want to attend the IDUG 2007 NA Conference for free?

OK, that got your attention!

Registration-Recognition-Free Registration!
-------------------------------------------
Presenters whose abstracts are selected to be delivered at IDUG 2007 North America will have their conference registration fee waived. Dual presenters are eligible for one free conference registration and a second registration at a reduced rate. At the conference presenters will have access to all conference activities, scheduled meals and social functions, program materials, and conference proceedings!
All the presentations delivered by users are eligible for "The Best User Presentation" award. This award is based exclusively on the evaluation of conference attendees. The presenter who earns "The Best User Presentation" award is given an all expense paid trip to deliver their presentation at a future international IDUG conference.
IDUG’s focus is on user experiences – this is where you find out how it really works (or does not work), not how it is supposed to work according to IBM. Ready to share your DB2 knowledge and strengthen the DB2 community? Ready for some industry recognition? Not for me, you say.
Never presented before? No problem. IDUG welcomes first-time presenters.
We all have something worthwhile to share. An unusual tuning problem?
Strategy on how manage some aspect of DB2? Cool SQL?
The deadline for submission of an abstract is September 1st.
All you need to submit is a brief abstract, bullet points and outline.
If selected, you will have several months to put the presentation together. Not very good with Powerpoint? No problem - if your abstract is chosen the IDUG conference presentation committee can assist you in finding someone with Powerpoint expertise who can help you. If your presentation is chosen, then your IDUG 2007 North America Conference registration fee will be waived.
Remember, you are very likely to get approval from your manager to attend the conference, if you don’t have to pay the registration fee.

Presentation Requirements
-------------------------
IDUG prefers presentation abstracts that outline the details of implementation, migrating to a new release, or maximizing performance from any member of the
DB2 product family. In addition, IDUG is requesting presentation abstracts relating to tools and utilities solutions complementary to the DB2 product family.
IDUG would like all presentations to be heavy in technical nature, absent of marketing themes, and in compliance with the IDUG mission statement.
